On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to the Pet Medical Center of Duncanville. Our staff understands that most pet owners consider their pets as one of their family members. That is just one reason why we understand that your trust in us adds up to a special responsibility. Our staff is long-term which enables us to build relationships and be knowledgeable about you and your pet. The Pet Medical Center team keeps current on the newest medical standards in veterinary medicine, and these are reflected in our treatment practice .
Meet our staff:
Dr. Donna Fuller

Dr. Fuller came to Cedar Ridge Animal Clinic (our former name) straight out of veterinary school in 1981. She is proud to have over 30 years experience with the PMCOD family! She bought into the practice the next year and purchased it from her partner, Dr. Mac Warren, in 1996. Dr. Fuller graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and a DVM in 1981. She is a member of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Dental Society. She currently serves as a Director for the Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter.
In her spare time, Dr. Fuller enjoys spending time outside with her own pets. She rides her Belgian/Quarterhorse mare, “Goose” and drives her Belgian gelding, “Checotah” with her dogs “Lilli” and “Grits” riding on the wagon seat. She has a goat, “Ross” who follows her all over the pasture, and her cats, “Tucker” & “Nicholas”, as well as the 3 who live at the clinic. She also enjoys working in her flower gardens and swimming.
Her husband, Ozzie Molina, is a fleet manager for Don Davis Auto Group. Her daughter, Corey and son-in-law, Brandon also attended Texas A & M (whoop!) and now live and work in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Sharon Hollars
Currently Dr. Hollars is a relief doctor here at the clinic but as of September 1, 2011 she has accepted a position as a full time doctor. We are very excited she made this decision. Our clients and staff cannot wait to work more hand and hand with you. Welcome to the team!
Originally from a small town in Nebraska, Dr. Hollars got her doctorate from Kansas State University in 1994. She was a “non-traditional” student, starting college 7 years after graduating high school. She was motivated to go to college and then veterinary school after years of volunteering at her local humane society. She moved to the DFW area after graduation and has been here ever since. Her special interests include avian and exotic animal medicine, rescue work, laser surgery, and helping owners be as pro-active as possible in keeping their pets healthy and happy.
Your pet deserves the best care!
That is why we have Veterinary Technicians to assist in the care of your pet. A Veterinary Technician is your pet’s “nurse”. Whether they are drawing blood from your pet, placing an IV catheter or assisting in surgery, Veterinary Technicians offer your pet exceptional care. They are up-to-date on major developments in Veterinary medicine through continuing education opportunities such as seminars, workshops and regional & national meetings, as well as regular staff meetings.
Janis Cates, RVT – Lead Veterinary Technician

Janis began working full-time for us in October, 2003. She received her Registered Veterinary Technician license in June, 1990. She became our Lead Technician and Technical manager in January, 2005. On top of managing our techs and assistants, Janis keeps our equipment fine-tuned and operational. Her favorite things about her job are the staff, X-rays & surgeries and of course, the patients.
Janis is an amazing portrait (pet and people) artist. She has drawn a beautiful rendition of the new Tri-City Animal Shelter for the lobby and it is being used in press releases and advertisements.
Janis shares her home with two feisty Pomeranians, “Ember Joy” and “Lady Bug”. Not to be forgotten is “Happy” the Border Collie who crossed Janis’ path at the local shelter and her newest ‘baby’, “Willie Dan” a 2 year-old Chihuahua Mix that was in the Tri-City cage at PMCoD and won Janis’ heart.
Cathi Easterling – Veterinary Technician
Cathi joined our practice in June, 1990. She is a native of Duncanville. A truly happy soul, her laugh can be heard throughout the clinic. Don’t be offended if when you drop your dog off, his name is “Ralph” but when you pick him up, his name is “Sam”. She will rename them all to fit what she thinks they should be – and they seem to like the new names just fine!
The lights of her life are Amanda, Anthony and Madisyn, her grandbabies. Her baby at work is “Cledus”. When he came to live with us, Cathi became his adopted mom. They have a special relationship and the love they have for each other is obvious. Cathi is going to be taking him home with her on weekends so they can spend even more time together!
Debra Walker – Veterinary Technician
Debra joined the Pet Medical Center family in September, 2007. She comes from a larger clinic setting, but says that a smaller practice has a more personal touch that she appreciates. A veterinary technician with more than 20 years experience, Debra attended Texas A & M University for 2 years and comes from a largely surgical background.
Debra makes jewelry as a hobby but is actually quite handy at other crafts also: she knits, crochets and quilts as well. Her other interests include reading, astronomy, archeology and history.
Her family includes “Teddy”, a Shepherd mix from the Dallas Animal Shelter, who has bonded with her elderly parents, especially her mom… Debra says “I feel pound puppies are more grateful to be adopted because they know what it is like to be homeless”.
Faith Upton – Veterinary Technician
Faith first joined our family in February 2007. She was only with us about six months when she followed her heart to Arizona. She returned to us in August 2008 as a veterinary technician. Faith started in the veterinary field at the age of 15 as a kennel assistant. When she turned 17 she decided that she wanted to be a technician and began training. Faith has worked for a couple of practices including an emergency care clinic but is happy to finally be home at Pet Medical Center of Duncanville.
Typically you will only see her around in the mornings because she is also a devoted college student. When she is not working or having her nose planted in a text book she loves spending time outdoors with the light of her life…her four year old beagle “Lilly”. By the way if you missed the Cowboy game just call Faith, she will be the first to tell you how her “Boys” did over the weekend! We are very happy to have her bubbly personality and sparkling smile back home where she belongs!
Melanie Cline – Technician Assistant
Melanie started with PMCOD in 2003, working part-time in the kennel area. She now works full-time as a Technician Assistant and also helps anywhere else she is needed. She treats all of the animals as if they were her own.
Her daughter, Elizabeth, keeps Melanie and her husband, Chris, on their toes. To help with that, Melanie and her family adopted a Lynx point Siamese cat named “Rags” from Tri-City Animal Shelter. He & Elizabeth keep each other busy! Melanie shared a story with us one day that Elizabeth came onto the room crying. When they asked her what was wrong, Elizabeth said “Rags” won’t leave my room”. We all got a kick out of that! The newest member of their family is “Fara”. She is “Kit’s” litter-mate and has added a new level of fun and excitement to Melanie’s family!
Melanie attended and graduated from Cedar Valley College’s Veterinary Technician program. She has been a jewel in our crown and a treasure that we hope to keep for years to come.
Mike Smith – Technician Assistant/Kennel

Mike joined our team in January, 2011. He has taken and completed all of the courses at UTA and Penn Foster College to be a Veterinary Assistant.
Mike is married to Erin and has 3 children (Ashley, Tyler & Austin) – 6 if you include his 2 Bassett Hounds (Gypsey and Lugnut) and his Schnauzer (Scooter). The best part of his day is interacting with all of you and your animals!
Our Receptionists
Our receptionists assist you in many ways. They do much more than make appointments and answer phones. Our well-trained staff can offer advice on pet food, treats, retail items and dental care. They will be glad to assist you in any way they can, whether in person or on the telephone.
Kathy Tracy
Kathy was a client at Pet Medical Center of Duncanville for many years before starting to work here in September, 2004.
She is one of the friendly faces you will see upon entering our clinic. Kathy’s always ready with a smile and a hug, or a tear and a tissue.
Kathy shares her home with her husband Brad, “Buster” the Golden Retriever – a gentle giant, also known as ‘Baby Huey’ and “Bonnie”
a Golden mix who came from Tri-City Animal Shelter.
She’s quite a handful – they should have named her “Marley”! Their 2 Ragdoll cats, “Indy” & “Reiki” have grown into gorgeous but huge cats who love to torment “Bonnie” – she has the battle scars to prove it…
Kathy is active in Friends of Tri-City and enjoys working with the animals. The joy and light of Kathy & Brad’s lives is their grand-daughter, Krysta. Who knew they could love anyone so much?! It really IS as wonder-full as everyone says!!
Jennifer Lumpkin
Jennifer first joined our team in 1998-99, her senior year of high school, as a co-op student. She worked in our kennel then moved up to a Technician Assistant. Eventually she became a Technician. After she received a nasty bite to her finger and was placed on light duty in the front office she decided that was more her speed and became a receptionist.
Jennifer stayed with us until 2004 when she went to work at a hair salon as a receptionist. In 2007 she heard we might be looking for another receptionist and she was interested in coming back and we were glad to have her. Jennifer’s babies are her cats “Roo” & “Radley” and her beagle “Penelope”, who was in the Tri-City Animal Shelter in our lobby.

Kennel Assistants
Our kennel staff is composed of loving individuals that do their best to develop bonds with your furry friends. Their responsible for an array of duties that include but are never limited too; walking, feeding, bathing, laundry and oral medications for all boarders. Melissa Mireles
As a child animals were my dream, now I am currently a Kennel Technician at Pet Medical Center, and in the future I plan to pursue my goal as a Veterinarian. My name is Melissa Mireles As a child I loved walking around looking for homeless animals, to help care for them. Now I am dedicated to my job at Pet Medical Center, as well as community service at the Tri-City Animal Shelter of Cedar Hill. My passion for animals started as a young girl with many pets; now owning a Rottweiler, 3 cats, a cocker tail, a rabbit, a corn snake, and 3 hamsters. I plan to go to Oklahoma State University after a few years at Midland College, to earn my degree in Veterinary Medicine. I began working at PMCOD in May of 2010 and my job here has taught me leadership, responsibility, as well as dedication, pushing me closer to my goal every day.

Picture and Profile to come
Our 4-legged Assistants:
KEEBLER – Keebler came into our lives in July of 1997, At the time; we had a client who did animal rehabilitation. Keebler was this 1 pound fuzzball with these big beautiful blue eyes, He was SOOOOOO bad! We convinced Dr. Fuller to keep him because he was literally hanging upside down on the cage door bars when Jenny came in one morning. She looked at him and said “We have to keep this one!” Keebler wasn’t the best-behaved kitten and many of you have scars to prove it. However, he grew into our resident “Diva”. Nothing makes Keebler happier than to have people come in and tell him how beautiful he is! He’s the one who used to lie on the computer monitor and supervise us all day. He had a hard time adjusting when we changed to flat screens, but these days he’s comfortable on the desk or the counters in the reception area.
CLARENCE – If you have stopped by our facility at all, you know Clarence He’s the one who will climb onto your back to lick your head or arm & groom your hair until he gets it just right – and then give you a ‘love bite’. Clarence came to us from the Richerson/Dimmitt family, he was so cross-eyed when we got him that he would often-times miss his jumps and land on the floor. As he aged, his eye problem fixed itself, except when he gets REALLY excited, and then they cross again. He wormed his way into Dr. Fuller’s heart and has become her baby. We are trying to convince him that love doesn’t have to hurt, so watch out if he nibbles ya! He really IS a good boy!

CLEDUS – Dr. Fuller first met “Cledus” at the animal shelter during a ‘Friends of Tri-City’ meeting in 2008. They developed an instant friendship and she offered to put him up for adoption in the shelter’s cage at our clinic. The staff fell in love with him before anyone else had a chance to get to know him! After much begging and pleading, Dr. Fuller finally agreed to keep him as a ‘Clinic cat’. These days, he spends most of his time in the treatment area and Cathi has become his adopted Mom. He is also known as “Baby Shamu” because he has gained weight since he has been with us – and off of the streets. “Cledus” has helped to fill the void that was left by “Graham” and “Nabisco”, our clinic cats who we lost in 2007. No one will ever be able to replace them in our hearts, but it’s nice to have another kitty to love!
